"38 youngsters turned up with large number of parents staying to cheer on.
All took part in fell races, 100 and 50 yard sprints
Perhaps the most exciting part of the evening was the caterpillar race between juniors, seniors and parents. It was a closely fought contest between between parents and youngsters with the adults just having the upper hand at the ned.
Excellent BBQ and cakes to finish off with prizes for all!"

1/ Fell Race: Junior school group (approx 1/2 mile), Senior school group (1 mile ),.
2/ Track races: Junior group 200 metres:
Senior group 400 metres:
3/ Caterpillar race: Junior versus senior group.
Sweets for all competitors and prizes for winners (separate girls and boys) in each category.
Followed by BBQ and cakes which we hope parents will join.
I know we don’t need to ask but we will need a little extra help this evening.. ... Mum's and Dad's please would you bring something for a communal BBQ (sausages, burgers etc) and some cakes ( Dowy and John prefer the big homemade varieties)
We will supply buns, tomato sauce, juice etc.
